Lockhart Timbercraft started with a meeting one night on a cool Wellington evening with the former owners of the Foldaway Collection who were holidaying in the Kapiti Coast. Reg and Less faithfully distributed the Foldaway Folding Picnic Table and other products into the Wellington market for 15 years and were ready to sell it onto someone who would offer the same quality goods and excellent service.
Stan has always had a heavy interest in fine furniture and wood working. His range of skills extends from carving quality gun stocks to creating fine indoor furniture and outdoor furniture. Since achieving a qualification in Carpentry, a realization became apparent, our market of indoor and outdoor furniture is flooded with imported products that are failing in our environmental conditions. Stan has a passion for a high level of workmanship and the natural beauty of our marvelous timbers grown here in New Zealand. So we continued to develop high quality New Zealand made goods from the original Foldaway Collection founded in 1999.
Anne-Marie, a former hairdresser, is busy caring for Primrose and Hosanna. She also runs the administration side of things. She loves to get involved in the manufacturing process and helps with the design of our newest products. Anne-Marie has a sharp eye for quality design and passion for styles of furniture with distinct character. She brings a great set of skills to our customers.
